The Soierngruppe is a small, independent mountain group in the northwest of the Karwendel near Krün , which is the only subgroup of the Karwendel that is completely in Germany.
Several peaks are lined up in the shape of a horseshoe around the Soiernkessel , the highest peak of the group is 2257 m above sea level. NHN the Soiernspitze . On the west side of the boiler is the 2050 m above sea level. NHN high Schöttelkarspitze . On the eastern side, the ridge with the Gumpenkarspitze ( 2019 m above sea level ), Krapfenkarspitze ( 2109 m above sea level ) and the Baierkarspitze ( 1909 m above sea level ) runs northeast to the Riss valley .
In the boiler is located at an altitude of 1616 m above sea level. NHN the Obere Soiernhaus of the German Alpine Club (DAV). The Soiernhäuser were originally built by King Ludwig II . At the Soiernseen ( 1558 m above sea level or 1549 m above sea level ) is the former servant and farm building, which is now used by the mountain rescue service . The Soiernhäuser can be reached from Krün via the Fischbachalm ( 1402 m above sea level ) either on the forest path or via the wire rope secured Lakaiensteig .
