Soledad Pastorutti

Soledad Pastorutti (born October 12, 1980 in Arequito , Santa Fe , Argentina ) is a well-known singer of Argentine folklore, actress and TV presenter. It is also called Soledad , La Sole , El Tifón or El Huracán de Arequito . She is one of the innovators of Argentine folklore. Her career, in which she has now sold more than two million albums, began in Cosquín in 1996 .

Life

Soledad Pastorutti is the daughter of Griselda Haydee Saccino and Omar Alberto Pastorutti and the sister of Natalia Pastorutti (* 1982). She was born in Casilda , the old town of Arequito. Her father introduced her to Argentine folklore as a child and she performed in the area.

In 1996, at the age of 15, she took part in the Folklore Festival in Cosquín with her sister Natalia Pastorutti and won the prize for New Discovery of the Year. She signed a recording deal with Sony Music , who produced the first album Poncho al viento . The album sold more than 800,000 times in a short time.

Pastorutti toured Argentina and performed in 181 locations in 1997. Her second album La Sole was released and her albums topped the charts. Pastorutti ended the year by selling out the Gran Rex in Buenos Aires ten times. The concerts resulted in the first live album A mi gente in 1998 .

Soledad Pastorutti (2006)

In 1998 she appeared again frequently in Buenos Aires. With the song Los sueños de todo el mundo (The dreams of the whole world) she was represented on an album by Sony Music on the occasion of the soccer world cup 1998 and also officially accompanied the Argentine national soccer team .

In the first months of 1999 Pastorutti shot the film La Edad del Sol (The Age of the Sun), her first experience with cinema. The film opened in theaters on July 1, 1999 and became the hit of the season with over a million viewers.

In 1999 she worked with Cuban producer Emilio Estefan on her fourth album, Yo si quiero a mi país (I love my country), which was recorded in Miami and takes up the rhythms of other Latin American countries .

In 2000 she was invited to the Festival del Huaso de Olmué for the first time as part of the Festival Internacional de la Canción de Viña del Mar in Chile , where she was also awarded the Gaviota de Plata Prize. In August she performed at the folklore festival in Martigues , France . Back from France she recorded her fifth album Soledad . In autumn she performed at the Festival de Cine y Música Argentina at the Barbican Center in London .

In 2001 she produced her sixth album Libre with Alejandro Lerner . At the beginning of 2002 she was invited again to the Festival Internacional de Viña del Mar in Chile and was awarded the Antorcha de Plata . Appearances in Argentina, Bolivia , Brazil , Canada , Chile, Costa Rica , Peru and Uruguay followed. At the end of 2002 she performed together with Horacio Guarany in Luna Park in Buenos Aires . The concert was released as a live album Sole y Horacio juntos por única vez (Sole and Horacio together for a single time).

In 2003 Pastorutti performed at the Argentino Festival in Miami and in California. She made her debut as a television actress in the telenovela Rincón de Luz (Corner of Light) by producer Cris Morena . Together with Pablo Santos , bassist and music director of her band, she produced the album Adonde Vayas (Where you are going), which contains seven pieces written by her.

In 2004 Pastorutti performed several times in Tel-Aviv , Israel , where she was popularized by Rincón de Luz . She achieved a record attendance at the festival in Jesús María and also performed at the festival in Punta Arenas , Chile , where she received two prizes.

Pastorutti is married to Jeremías Audoglio and has one son (* 2010).
