history

The Solingen Paladins were founded on March 31, 2006 by the three Solingen football players Dominic Hardt, Sven Theophil and Arne Plümacher. As early as 2007, the team took part in matches in the North Rhine-Westphalia regional league. At the end of the season, the team finished second, but lost to the Aachen Vampires in the subsequent promotion game . As a successor, Solingen reached the Association League for the 2008 season.

After two seasons in the association league, the Paladins were promoted to the Oberliga Nordrhein-Westfalen in 2009. In 2010 the team finished second, but had to admit defeat to the Aachen Vampires again in the promotion games for the Regionalliga West. Solingen also spent the following three seasons in the league before advancing to the regional league at the end of the 2013 season.

In the Regionalliga West, the team finished third in both seasons 2015 and 2016. In 2017 the Paladins were able to secure the championship and for the first time in their club's history they reached GFL 2 . Here the team finished second behind the Düsseldorf Panthers in the 2018 season with 11 wins from 14 games .
