Something to Sing About is a 2000 American comedy film directed by Charlie Jordan and starring Darius McCrary . The film was shot for US television, where it premiered on June 10, 2000.

The film was produced by the production company World Wide Pictures , which has set itself the task of spreading the teachings of the revival preacher Billy Graham . Graham himself made a cameo in the film.

Tommy is a petty criminal. He meets an old lady named Memaw. She makes him dedicate himself to his talent, singing. Memaw encourages Tommy to join a church choir and sing there. Tommy does a very special duet with Memaw's granddaughter Lilly.

Tommy's friend G Smooth, on the other hand, is skeptical and stays on the street. He tries to pull Tommy back into the drug scene. But Tommy remains loyal to the church and also to Lilly.

Something to Sing About is not to be confused with the musical film Music in the Fists (original title: Something to Sing About ) from 1937 by Victor Schertzinger , in which James Cagney plays the leading role.
