The Sommerstein is 2308 m above sea level. A. high mountain in the Berchtesgaden Alps in the Austrian state of Salzburg . It is located in the south of the Steinerne Meer , above Saalfelden and Maria Alm .
The summit of the Sommerstein can be reached in around 30 minutes from the Riemannhaus .
Demanding climbing routes lead through the west and south walls .
