Song Yun-ah (alternatively written Song Yoon-a , born June 7, 1973 in Seoul ) is a South Korean actress .

life and career

Song Yun-ah was born in Seoul, but she grew up in Gimcheon , Gyeongsangbuk-do . Her parents were teachers and placed great importance in the upbringing of their children. Song's family is Roman Catholic ; she herself was baptized with the name Anna. Song Yun-ah has two older brothers who both attended Seoul National University . She studied cultural anthropology at Hanyang University .

During her studies, Song attended an acting academy and appeared as an advertising model for various magazines. In 1995 she took part in the actor's casting show on TV station KBS and received three awards. She is still friends with Cha Tae-hyun , who also began his acting career through this casting. She got her breakthrough in 1998 when she appeared in the television series Mister Q as an opponent of Kim Hee-sun , with whom she also has a good friendship.

In 2009 she married fellow actor Sol Kyung-gu , with whom she appeared in the films Jail Breakers (2002) and Lost in Love (2006). In 2010 she gave birth to a son.
