Sonja Seibold
Sonja Seibold (full name Sonja Helga Nina Seibold , born April 17, 1932 in Munich ) is a German wood sculptor and medalist .
Life
Sonja Seibold completed an apprenticeship in wood carving and after her journeyman examination also passed the master craftsman's examination in wood carving . She also studied free and applied painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich .
She has been dealing with medals since 1990. In 2000 Sonja Seibold created a bronze medal for Arche with a representation of Noah's Ark after a competition entry . That same year, gave German Bundesbank a 10- designed by Seibold DM - commemorative coin for Expo 2000 out. In the book Der Künstlerkreis der Medailleure München , published in 2003 for the 15th anniversary of the Munich Association, 49 of the medals created by Seibold were dealt with.
Sonja Seibold put together an extensive collection of devotional pictures , which was exhibited in the Diocesan Museum Freising in 2010 .
In 2014, the Munich State Coin Collection published a catalog on the minted and cast medals by Sonja Seibold. The medals were presented in an exhibition in the Freising City Museum and in the State Coin Collection in Munich in 2015.
