Sonja Wilken

Sonja Wilken (born December 23, 1928 in Hamburg ; † December 1, 1977 ) was a German actress and cabaret artist .

Live and act

Born in Hamburg, she received her artistic training in her hometown immediately after the war and began her first engagement at the local Thalia Theater in 1947 . This was followed by several seasons of extensive commitments in the north German province, to Rendsburg , Lübeck and Lüneburg . In 1952 Sonja Wilken returned to Hamburg. In the coming season she performed under the direction of Hans Fitze at the Harburg Theater and there she also met her future husband, the actor and cabaret artist Reinhold Brandes . In the late 1950s she went to the Altona Theater for several seasons .

During this time, the 1950s, Sonja Wilken worked sporadically in one or the other feature film and early television film. She went to Berlin with Brandes in the following decade and joined him in the cabaret Die Stachelschweine . At the same time, from the mid-1960s to the early 1970s, the blonde artist was often brought in for television productions; in 1971 she had a continuous role in the series Tanz-Café . In the same year she and her husband appeared in front of the camera in the Heinz Erhardt movie comedy Unser Willi ist der Beste . Brandes died a little later. In 1972, the year of his death, Sonja Wilken withdrew from working in front of the camera.
