Sophia Somajo Venai (born January 2, 1985 in Stockholm ) is a Swedish singer . For a while she appeared under her nickname Soso .
Life
Sophia Somajo Venai grew up in Stockholm, but also spent three of her teenage years in Paris. During a school exchange in the United States, her musical talent was discovered and she was awarded a development contract, which she initially did not use. Instead, she tried her hand at first as a songwriter. She used more than ten pseudonyms. The best known is Tiffany Amber, based on the actress Tiffani-Amber Thiessen from Beverly Hills, 90210 . Under this pseudonym she wrote for Britney Spears , Christina Aguilera and the Backstreet Boys .
In 2008 Sophia Somajo released her first album The Laptop Diaries . She recorded the album exclusively on the laptop in her bedroom. It was released on the Telegram Records Stockholm label .
In 2011 she founded her own label Do It Yourself Bitch Productions. The digital album TTIDSDIEUIC and the single Who's Gonna Love Me were released there in 2012 . In fact, she released the album for free on the Bittorrent platform The Pirate Bay .
In 2013 the single Kids appeared together with Style of Eye and Elliphant .
The EP Freudian Slip followed in 2017 .
In 2018 she and Alan Walker wrote the song Diamond Heart , which reached number 18 in the Swedish charts and made her internationally popular. In Norway it reached number 1 on the charts.
