Sophie Quinton
Sophie Quinton (born August 31, 1976 in Villedieu-les-Poêles , Department Manche ) is a French actress .
Life
Sophie Quinton studied theater at the Lycée Millet Cherbourg and played street theater in a small group. She was first seen in the cinema in the two short films Peau de vache and The Andalusian Cat by Gérald Hustache-Mathieu . For the former, she received the award for best actress at the short film festival in Clermont-Ferrand .
She gained fame with the lead role in the film Who Killed Bambi? , for which she was nominated for a César as best young actress. In 2005 she made the feature film April with Hustache-Mathieu, which was shown at the 21st International Film Festival in Braunschweig in November 2007 as part of a cooperation with the Haute-Normandie region , where it received the “Der Heinrich” award.
2011 followed with Who Killed Marilyn? Another feature film by Hustache-Mathieu, in which she plays the Marilyn Monroe-like provincial starlet Candice Lecœur alongside Jean-Paul Rouve .
