Benjamin Baier (born July 23, 1988 in Aschaffenburg ) is a German soccer player who has been under contract with Viktoria Aschaffenburg since the 2019/20 season .

Career

Baier moved from Viktoria Aschaffenburg to Kickers Offenbach for the 2007/08 season . After he was able to convince in the youth team (most recently U 19) (he had already been the A-youth champion with the team and was top scorer of the A-youth in the Oberliga Hessen), he became a licensed player on July 1, 2007 for two years contracted. On November 2, 2007, Baier made his professional debut in the 2nd Bundesliga against SpVgg Greuther Fürth . Even after the club was relegated to the third division, he stayed with the club. For the 2010/11 season , Baier moved to RB Leipzig . After a year he left the club and joined the third division club SV Darmstadt 98 , with whom he was promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga in 2014. For the 2014/15 season , Baier moved to Rot-Weiss Essen in the Regionalliga West . With Essen, he won the Niederrhein Cup in 2015 and 2016 .

For the 2019/2020 season he moved to his hometown club Viktoria Aschaffenburg .
