The Sorensen Peak is a 2,640 m high mountain in the Admiralty Mountains in the East Antarctic Victoria Land . It rises up between the Lyttelton Range and Church Ridge on the watershed between the Dennistoun and Leander glaciers .
The United States Geological Survey mapped it using surveys and aerial photographs from the United States Navy between 1960 and 1963. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1970 after Douglas J. Sorensen, field research assistant at McMurdo Station between 1965 and 1966.
