The Sochi ( Russian Сочи , Abkhazian Шәача , Adygean Шъачэ ) is a river in the Caucasus that flows into the Black Sea in the city of Sochi .
The Sochi flows through the Stadtrajons Zentralny and Chostinski of Sochi in the southern Russian region of Krasnodar . It is the third longest river from Sochi to Msymta and Tschache . The main tributaries are Jegoschka, Ojschcho, Ats and Agwa.
In the area of the estuary near the Riviera Park , the banks have been reinforced with concrete. The towns and suburbs Baranówka , Plastinka and Orechowka and Aschtschek lie along the river .
Gold was discovered in the 1930s .
