Souleymane Ndéné Ndiaye (born August 6, 1958 in Kaolack ) is a Senegalese politician . From 2009 to 2012 he was Prime Minister of Senegal. He is a member of the Senegalese Democratic Party (PDS).

The lawyer Ndiaye became mayor of Guinguinéo in the Kaolack region in 2002 . From March to November 2005 he was also Minister for Public Service and Labor, after which he was President Abdoulaye Wade's Cabinet Head . In 2007 he was briefly Minister of State for the Environment and Nature Conservation under Prime Minister Cheikh Hadjibou Soumaré , before he was appointed Minister of State for Shipping and Fisheries in July 2007.

In the local elections in March 2009, Ndiaye was confirmed as mayor. This made him one of the few PDS functionaries who could assert themselves. Following these elections, Prime Minister Soumaré resigned and President Wade appointed Ndiaye as the new Prime Minister.
