Southpark Meadows is a shopping mall in Austin, Texas .

The building was constructed in the early 1980s and opened in 1983. The building complex consists of a shopping center, several cinemas and a few parks . In addition, the shopping center is connected to a hall of the same name with a maximum audience capacity of 9,000 seats for concerts and theater performances . Internationally known artists from the music industry such as U2 , The Police , Crosby, Stills & Nash , The Band , Willie Nelson , Neil Young , Eric Clapton , Johnny Cash , Metallica , Aerosmith , Pearl Jam , REM , Van performed in the hall Halen , Ozzy Osbourne , Dave Matthews Band , Lenny Kravitz , Def Leppard , Sting , Alanis Morissette , Rage Against the Machine and Bonnie Raitt .
