The Sparkasse Minden-Lübbecke is a public savings bank based in the East Westphalian city ​​of Minden . Its business activities concern the area of the Minden-Lübbecke district excluding the towns of Porta Westfalica , Bad Oeynhausen and Rahden .

history

On December 15, 1826, the municipal savings bank and lending bank in Minden was founded. This was closed from 1865 to 1898. The Minden district savings and loan association was founded on May 30, 1855 . The Sparkasse Minden-Lübbecke is the largest institute in the district with a balance sheet volume of EUR 2.689 billion. This is followed by the smaller institutes in Bad Oeynhausen (720 million euros), in Porta Westfalica (402 million euros) and in Rahden (368 million euros). The current Sparkasse Minden-Lübbecke was created in 1980, when the Stadtsparkasse Minden and the Kreissparkasse Minden merged, as well as from other savings banks in the district.

The Zweckverband forms an association assembly. The association assembly consists of representatives of the member municipalities, who are elected for the duration of the election period of the municipal parliaments. The association assembly decides on the articles of association of the savings bank and elects the chairman and the other members of the administrative board of the savings bank.
