The Liathach ( The Gray in Gaelic ) is a 1055 meter high mountain range in Scotland . It is located on the west coast in the Torridon Hills in the Northwest Highlands , which are part of the Highland Council Area . Two of the peaks of the Liathach, the Spidean a 'Choire Lèith with 1055 m height at the eastern end of the massif and the 1023 m high Mullach an Rathain at the western end are classified as Munro . To the east of the Liathach lies the mountain range of Beinn Eighe , to the west of the Beinn Alligin .

Due to its location on the west coast with wide views, the Liathach is a popular destination for mountain hikers and climbers. The crossing of the Am Fasarinen ridge over the two highest peaks of the Liathach is a particularly demanding tour. The easiest way to reach the Liathach is from Torridon , there are several parking spaces along the A896 to Kinlochewe , from which the ascent is possible.
