Do you play with weird birds is a 1968 German feature film by Gustav Ehmck with Horst Janson and Margarethe von Trotta in two leading roles.

action

Four young people, two couples, a common holiday destination: that is the constellation of the four central protagonists. The two unmarried couples are Alfred and Ilse as well as Georg and Helga, and they are looking for relaxation for a while on the French Atlantic coast. The two men and women indulge their pleasure without restraint, informally and hedonistically.

One day the positive and humorous mood threatens to tip over when the constellation of four draws a balance in terms of pairs and the pair structure threatens to fall apart. Long discussions ensue, until suddenly Georg suggests that Helga return to Alfred, with whom she was once connected. However, this idea has plenty of explosives in it.

Production notes
