The Splügener Kalkberge are the super group 10 III C of the Adula Alps to SOIUSA north of the Splügen Pass . They consist of:
- the Piz Tomül group (C.7) and
- of the Beverin group (C.8)
The two groups are separated by the Safien valley .
The highest mountains are Bruschghorn ( 3056 m ), Alperschällihorn ( 3038 m ), Piz Beverin ( 2997 m ), Piz Tomül ( 2946 m ), Piz Tarantschun ( 2762 m ), Carnusapass ( 2605 m ), Piz Calandari ( 2438 m ).
Almost all Splügen limestone mountains are characterized by stone deserts and scree slopes. Only Piz Beverin is not a real limestone mountain, but according to SOIUSA it belongs to the group. To the north of Piz Tarantschun lies the Carnusapass , a pass crossing from Wergenstein to the Glaspass, at 2605 meters .
