SPOX is a German-language website on the subject of sports with headquarters in Munich and Vienna . The focus of the journalistic coverage is on soccer , tennis and the US sports basketball , American football and baseball .

history

In 2007 SPOX went online. The reporting was in close connection with the initial partner Premiere . In 2009 Premiere AG sold its 44 percent stake to the CRESCES Group. In 2011, SPOX Media GmbH was sold on to the Perform Group , which also took over competitor Sportal.de in 2012. In December 2016, Sportnet.at of the Styria Media Group became the Austrian edition of SPOX. As part of the restructuring of the Perform Group at the end of 2018, SPOX became part of the DAZN Group and the editorial team moved from Unterföhring to Ismaning. The official owner in Germany is mediasports Digital GmbH.
