The Spree-Diamant is a passenger ship of the Berlin shipping company Riedel .
history
The ship was built from 2004 to 2005 by the WMS shipyard and service center Middle Rhine in Remagen - Oberwinter . The transfer trip to Berlin lasts from April 5 to April 9, 2005. On April 15, 2005, the ship was christened by the moderators Diana Holtorff and Jochen Trus of the private broadcaster Spree-Radio Berlin at the Märkisches Ufer pier .
The lower deck spaces were built as watertight room cells , as a double floor . The column-free passenger compartment is separated from the engine room without vibrations; its 1.40-meter-high windows can be pushed open to a width of up to 8 meters. It is flexibly furnished and can also be used for celebrations or conferences. The ship has a kitchen, a cold room and a counter. The ship was constructed with a fixed point height of 3.10 meters in order to be able to pass the bridges over the Landwehr Canal in Berlin. In 2011 the main propulsion engine and the on- board power unit were equipped with two diesel soot particle filters.
