Men's doubles of the World Championships in doubles and mixed 2017 in squash .
The field of participants consisted of 16 double pairings, which competed against each other in four groups of four double pairings in round robin mode . The group winners and runners-up made it to the quarter-finals and played out places one to eight in the knockout system .
Last year's winners were the two Scots Alan Clyne and Greg Lobban , who defeated Zac Alexander and David Palmer in the 2016 final . Clyne and Lobban started the tournament from number one, Palmer and Alexander from number three. Again Clyne and Lobban reached the final, in which they were defeated by second placed Cameron Pilley and Ryan Cuskelly with 6:11 and 3:11.
