St-Léger (Amenucourt)
The Catholic Church of Saint-Léger in Amenucourt , a parish in the Val-d'Oise department in the French region of Île-de-France , dates back to the 12th century. Since 1940, the church has been on the list of architectural monuments in France as a Monument historique .
history
The St. leodegar consecrated church is surrounded by a cemetery. 1151 she was by Hugo III. d'Amiens , Archbishop of Rouen , handed over to Saint-Martin Abbey in Pontoise . In 1175 she came to the Sausseuse priory in what is now Tilly . From the 15th century, the originally Romanesque church was significantly changed through renovations.
architecture
The church can be reached via a staircase with 35 steps. Since the transept was destroyed during renovations , the choir is now directly adjacent to the nave . The three-sided apse is dominated by a large tracery window . On the gable roof , a sitting skylights with pointed hood .
The church has capitals and choir stalls from the 16th century.
