history

In 1066 the monks of the Saint-Évroult Abbey built a first chapel in the village . The image of Mary exhibited in the chapel became the destination of many pilgrims , who made the construction of today's churches possible with their donations. The church, built between 1194 and 1230, was elevated to a parish church and a priory building was built next to the church to look after the pilgrims , which has also been preserved.

The church with a three- bay nave was built in the 15th and 16th centuries. Rebuilt in the 19th century. The windowless choir with a straight end dates from the 15th century. It is covered by a ribbed vault. The rectangular bell tower without decorations has a defensive character.
