history

The church was built on the site of a Merovingian necropolis . Until 1792 the family members of the manorial de Balincourt family, who had the right of patronage , were buried in the church. Major renovations took place in 1858.

architecture

The oldest part of the three-nave church is the choir from the 12th century. The Romanesque capitals are decorated with plant motifs, animals and human heads. The crossing tower has coupled arched windows on all sides and stepped buttresses at its corners . A round window is located above the simple portal in the form of a profiled round arch. The portal and the long sides are structured by buttresses.
