The church has a painted wooden beam ceiling from the 16th century. In 1942, the church consecrated to the Apostle Peter was added to the list of architectural monuments in France as Monument historique .

history

In June 1940, as a result of a bomb strike, the vaults that were drawn in in 1885 in the main nave and the side aisles collapsed and exposed the roof structure with its painted wooden beam ceiling from the 16th century. Under the altar a crypt from the 17th century was revealed, which the landlord , Goth de Rouillac, who held the title Duke of Épernon, had laid as a burial place for his family.
