The St. Judas Thaddäus Chapel was built under the Johannesberg provost Eugen von Bastheim (1755–58) in 1757 and consecrated in the same year by Prince-Bishop Adalbert II von Walderdorff .

The chapel is a simple building with three window axes and a three-sided closure from the Baroque period . The roof turret has a typical baroque tail dome. In 1937 a sacristy was added and in 1950 the chapel was extended by a window axis towards the west. Despite the simple construction, there is a beautiful columned altar inside from 1758. The patron saint of the chapel, St. Judas Thaddäus , is depicted with a club and a Christ medal.
