St. Anna (boar stable)

St. Anna is a Roman Catholic chapel in Eberstall , a district of Jettingen-Scheppach in Swabia . It was built around 1603 to 1605 as a chapel of the former outer bailey of the Eberstaller Burgstall and was then owned by the barons of Stain, later the Amerdinger line of barons Schenk von Stauffenberg .

description

The church is a hall building with a three-sided end. The south tower has a square floor plan with an attached octagon , which was given a sweeping onion dome between 1983 and 1984 . The basement is used as a sacristy , with stucco decorations and cupboards from the early 18th century. A gallery with stucco work and frescoes from the late 17th century is built into the interior of the church on the west side . The frescoes show the veneration of the altar sacrament and scenes from the life of Saints Joachim and Anna . The high altar in the choir with the figures of Maria and her parents dates from 1742 and was probably made by Ferdinand Luidl . The cafeteria is labeled 1536.
