St. Anna Chapel in Kempfenhausen

The St. Anna chapel in Kempfenhausen , a district of the municipality of Berg in the Upper Bavarian district of Starnberg , is a protected architectural monument .

architecture

The core of the former chapel of Kempfenhausen Castle is probably late Gothic and was rebuilt in Baroque style after 1715 and around 1755 . A tower with a gable roof is presented to the west of the hall building . The choir and the nave are the same width and separated by a choir arch on which the coat of arms of the Barons von Pirchinger can be seen. The walls of the interior are divided by double pilasters .

Furnishing

The chapel was given a rococo decoration by the painter Christian Wink , who also painted the hall in Schleißheim Palace and the St. Joseph Church in Starnberg .

The rococo altars date from around 1780. The figure in the middle part of the main altar is a late Gothic Anna Selbdritt . The side figures of the main altar, St. Joseph and St. Joachim , as well as the figures of the side altars, St. New Year's Eve and St. Leonhard , date from the period between 1710 and 1760. The church is equipped with a panel depicting the crucifixion from the end 15th century and a triptych of the Trinity painted on copper from 1700.
