St. Anna Chapel in Oedenstockach

St. Anna , also called Sankt-Anna-Kapelle , is a chapel of the Roman Catholic Church in Oedenstockach , a district of the Upper Bavarian municipality of Putzbrunn in the district of Munich . The chapel is consecrated to St. Anna and belongs to the parish of St. Stephan in Putzbrunn. The building is registered as a monument in the Bavarian List of Monuments .

The chapel is located in the center of Oedenstockach on Kapellenplatz at the top of a small triangular green area that is lined with trees. The Oedenstockach water tower is located diagonally across from the chapel on the south side of the square .

The chapel dates from the 19th century, but its core goes back to an older previous building. The bell tower was not erected until the 20th century.

The building has a floor plan of around 5 × 3.5 meters and has a gable roof. The back to the west of the chapel is slightly curved and suggests an apse . The chapel has an arched window with lead glazing on each of the two long sides . In front of the entrance to the east there is a wooden bell tower with a tent roof crowned by a cross . It is divided into three floors by cornices . An ogival blind arch is indicated above the entrance door. Arched friezes are arranged under the cornice of the first floor and the eaves .

The interior has a flat ceiling. In the middle of the Altarmensa stands a crucifix , lined with two putti . On the left is a figure of St. Leonhard , on the right of St. Sebastian .
