St. Boniface

The Evangelical Lutheran branch church of St. Bonifatius stands at the western end of Friedrichslohra , a district of the community of Großlohra in the Nordhausen district in Thuringia . The parish Friedrich Lohra the Church of St. Boniface is part of the parish area Niedergebra in Kirchenkreis Südharz the Evangelical Church in Central Germany .

The half-timbered church , covered with a gable roof , was built in 1852. The hall church with five axes has a recessed polygonal choir . There is no church tower . The bells are located in a detached bell cage . The interior has three-sided galleries and is covered with a wooden beam ceiling. The simple church furnishings come from the construction period.

The organ with eight registers , divided into a manual and a pedal , was built in 1906 by Robert Knauf & Sohn , rebuilt in 1923 by Georg Kiessling & Söhne and restored in 1953 by Fritz Haßkarl.
