St. Elisabeth

The Evangelical Lutheran listed church of St. Elisabeth is located in Wülfingerode , a district of the Sollstedt community in the Nordhausen district in Thuringia . The parish Wülfingerode belongs to the parish area Sollstedt in Kirchenkreis Südharz the Evangelical Church in Central Germany .

The neo-Romanesque hall church made of natural stone was built in 1858. In the west is the retracted choir with a polygonal end and polygonal side choirs. In the east the church tower stands on a square floor plan. The lower parts come from the previous building. Its top floor has triforias as sound arcades . An eight-sided pointed slate-covered helmet sits on it . The gilded, copper sarcophagus of Rittmeister Hans von Bodenhausen , which is provided with inscriptions and coats of arms , dates from 1684.

There is a sundial on the south facade .
