Dermsdorf Church

The Protestant village church of St. Johannes Baptist is located in the Dermsdorf district of the city of Kölleda in the Sömmerda district in Thuringia . It belongs to the parish area Kölleda in Kirchenkreis Eisleben-Sömmerda the Evangelical Church in Central Germany .

history

The simply held from natural stone built village church consists of choir tower , baroque nave and sacristy on the south wall of the church tower .

The church tower is said to have been built in the 14th century. In the 19th century the nave and the sacristy were added. In the choir is the altar with a pulpit from the 17th century. There is also a full portrait of Martin Luther from the 16th or 17th century.

In 2011, the KiBa Foundation supported the repair of the tower roof, the crowning and the sponge control . In 2013, additional funds were poured into the roof , the top of the wall and the slate covering .
