The St. Josef Chapel in Walporzheim , a district of Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler in the Ahrweiler district in northern Rhineland-Palatinate , is a Catholic chapel from the 18th century.

history

The St. Josef Chapel was first mentioned in 1660. The new building of the chapel is documented for the year 1777, which was extended by an axis to the west in 1924.

Architecture and equipment

The single-nave , plastered quarry stone building has a three-sided east end. A six-sided roof turret with a curved hood adorns the slate roof.

Inside there are baroque carved figures of St. Sebastian and St. Rochus . The stone holy water font depicting a grape is from the 18th century.
