In 1988/89 the St. Josef's Chapel , a single-nave plastered quarry stone building 13 meters long and 5.50 meters wide, was renovated. The chapel was rebuilt in 1770, as can be seen from the carving above the portal. The chapel received two bells, St. Joseph and St. Sebastianus. The annex to the chapel was consecrated on July 20, 1924. On December 6, 1964, a new bell weighing 180 kilograms was consecrated. In 1988/89 the St. Josef Chapel was renovated. In 2001 the old organ was replaced by a new one. In 2017 the “Friends of the Chapel of St. Josef Walporzheim” was founded by Walporzheim citizens.
