Prümer Urbar
In Prüm Urbar , a land register of the Benedictine Abbey of Prüm in the Eifel , in 893 all rights and income from the numerous possessions of the Abbey were documented.
The original - it was created under Abbot Regino von Prüm - has not survived. In 1222 the ex-abbot Caesarius von Milendonk made a copy, which he provided with his own additions and comments. The volume is 57 pages, divided into 118 chapters. This processing is preserved in the state main archive Koblenz .
Places of inspection trips
Numerous places, especially in the Rhineland, are documented in writing for the first time in the Prümer Urbar. In so-called inspection trips, the monks visited 118 locations from which income for the monastery was expected. If you follow the numbering of the places sorted by chapter numbers, the routing of the inspection trips becomes clear.
Other place names
In addition to the 118 places that make up the chapter headings of the land register and which the monks drove to during the inspection trips, there are also places that were on the way or nearby and are also mentioned in the land register.
