The following villages are in the municipality: Boven-Leeuwen; Beneden-Leeuwen , the largest town, where the municipal administration is also located; Dreumel; Wamel (across from Tiel an der Waal ); Maasbommel; Alphen aan de Maas ; Old forest; Appeltern.

There are also several small towns, including one called Moordhuizen.

Location and economy

The municipality is located between the Maas and Waal rivers , south of Tiel . A motorway bridge leads to Tiel over the Waal. The villages live from some industry ( bricks , furniture, concrete , etc.), cattle breeding and fruit growing. The picturesque village of Appeltern with its famous gardens and the water sports center "De Gouden Ham" (The Golden Ham) near Maasbommel attract the necessary tourists.
