coat of arms

Lind coat of arms
Blazon : “A fallen, curly silver tip in green, inside a green linden tree with roots. In front a golden tower with black building openings. In the back an upright golden key. "
Reasons for the coat of arms: The three fields with three different symbols refer to the three localities of the municipality of Lind. The linden tree stands for the municipality of Lind. The tower - representation of the Wensburg - for obliers. The key represents the attribute of St. Maternus for Plittersdorf.

The main hiking trail 2a of the Eifelverein , the 183 km long Karl-Kaufmann-Weg , leads through Lind . Four circular hiking trails run by the Lind e. V. with a total length of 35 km convey lasting impressions of the landscape. Once a year there is a mountain time trial with a length of approx. 4 km and an altitude difference of 255 meters from Ahrbrück to Lind, an incline that also attracts numerous cyclists from the region. The Ahr cycle path in the Ahr valley is not far away. The AhrSteig long-distance hiking trail has been running through Lind since 2012 .
