The St. Lambertus Church is a Catholic church in the parish of St. Lambertus Mingolsheim , a district of Bad Schönborn . It is subordinate to the Archdiocese of Freiburg and belongs to the pastoral care unit Schönborn-Kronau in the dean's office in Bruchsal . St. Lambertus is the church patron.

history

The origin of the church is in the eighth century. The Gothic choir and the basement of the tower date from the fifteenth century . After 1760 the baroque nave was built with baroque furnishings . The neo-Gothic high altar was built around 1900 . Around 1977 there was extensive renovation and modern chancel furnishings. The side altars are dedicated to Mary and Rochus .

Since 1993 there is a new four-manual mechanical organ of the company. Gerhard Schmid from Kaufbeuren . The instrument has 50 stops on four manuals and a pedal . The action actions are mechanical, the stop actions are electro-pneumatic.

Bells

The ringing consists of nine bells, the ninth and so far youngest bell was hung in 2004. It is the most extensive church bell in a village parish church in the Archdiocese of Freiburg .

Forecourt

The church forecourt was named Prälat-Schanzenbach-Platz in memory of Leonhard Schanzenbach, who was born in Mingolsheim, was made an honorary citizen and was a priest and prelate in Freiburg im Breisgau .
