The Bruchsal deanery is one of 26 deaneries in the Roman Catholic diocese of Freiburg . The seat is in Bruchsal .

history

With the reform of the deanery on January 1, 2008, the deanery was established in the Archdiocese of Freiburg. The deanery together with the deaneries of Karlsruhe , Pforzheim , Rastatt and Baden-Baden form the Middle Upper Rhine / Pforzheim region of the Archdiocese of Freiburg.

From the original 19 pastoral care units of the Bruchsal dean's office, their number decreased to 13 pastoral care units on January 1, 2015.

On January 1, 2015, the three pastoral care units Bretten-Stadt, Bretten-Land and Jöhlingen-Wössingen were merged to form the pastoral care unit Bretten-Walzbachtal.
