The Lahr deanery is one of 26 deaneries in the Roman Catholic diocese of Freiburg .

history

With the reform on January 1, 2008, the deanery was established in the Archdiocese of Freiburg. The seat of the deanery Lahr is Lahr / Black Forest . The deanery, together with the deaneries Acher-Renchtal and Offenburg-Kinzigtal, forms the Ortenau region of the Archdiocese of Freiburg.

From the original eight pastoral care units in the Lahr dean's office, their number was reduced to five by merger by January 1, 2015.
