The Sigmaringen-Meßkirch deanery is one of 26 deaneries in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Freiburg , which stretches from Trochtelfingen to Illmensee , and further south the Achberg exclave . The seat is Sigmaringen .

history

On May 1, 2008, it was merged from the former Sigmaringen dean's office and most of the Meßkirch dean's office . In 2015, eleven pastoral care units were formed from the previous 18.

The deanery, together with the deaneries of Hegau , Konstanz , Linzgau and Zollern, form the Bodensee – Hohenzollern region of the Archdiocese of Freiburg .

The parish Zum Hl. Josef (Bronnen) of the Diocese of Rottenburg-Stuttgart, however, belongs to the SE Gammertingen-Trochtelfingen.
