Demographic and socio-spatial structure
The dean's office geographically covers the Black Forest-Baar district with the exception of the Württemberg municipalities. In addition, the Catholic parishes in Tennenbronn and Geisingen belong to the deanery. The landscaped dean's office is located in the eastern Black Forest. The Baarhochmulde and the European watershed with the rivers Danube and Neckar shape the landscape. In the region there are also the two source rivers “ Brigach and Breg ”, which, according to a well-known saying, bring “the Danube to the way”. The rivers and landscape names can also be found in the names of individual pastoral care units of the deanery.
