St. Margaret (Krailling)
St. Margaret was the Catholic parish church of the Upper Bavarian municipality of Krailling in the Starnberg district .
history
A church is mentioned for the first time in 1315 in “Greuling”. The patronage of St. Margaret has been guaranteed since 1524 . After it was built in the Romanesque style customary at the time , it was given a late Gothic appearance through renovations and additions around 1500 . In 1682 the nave was then redesigned in baroque style and provided with a gallery . A pulpit was installed on the women's side (left) in 1721. Today she serves as an ambo . Half of the tower was demolished in 1747 and then crowned with an onion dome. The church was renovated several times: 1682, 1747, 1843, 1883, 1913, 1973 and most recently in 2006. Today the church is a branch of the parish of St. Elisabeth in Planegg .
organ
The organ from Siemann is equipped with a manual and seven registers and dates from around 1907. The instrument was replaced in 2016 by a new one from Kaps. The instrument has 9 registers on a manual mechanism and pedal. The registers of the manual work can also be played on a second manual of the console via alternating loops.

Margaret procession
The traditional Margaret procession takes place on a Sunday near July 20th, the festival of St. Margaret's name . She goes back to a plague vow . The process is comparable to a Corpus Christi procession . As a special feature, the mayor of the Krailling community holds the gospel book during the gospel .
