St. Maria Magdalena (Husen)
The Catholic parish church of St. Maria Magdalena is a listed church building in Husen , a district of Lichtenau in the Paderborn district ( North Rhine-Westphalia ).
History and architecture
The neo-Romanesque , north-facing hall church with a retracted and semicircular closed choir was built in 1903/04 under the direction of the church architect Franz Mündelein . The walls were built from hammer-right rubble stone . The south tower is accessible through a sandstone portal. Inside, structured by transverse arches rest groin vault on simple round pillars.
Furnishing
- The baroque high altar comes from the chapel of the Vesperthe desert . The altar panel was renewed in 1870.
- The richly carved parapet of the organ gallery with figures of saints is marked with 1712.
- The wooden double Madonna is a carving from the mid-18th century. It originally comes from the Dalheim monastery .
