The large hall church from the 15th century is closed in the east with a 5/8 polygon of the same width. There are buttresses on the polygon and on the west corners of the nave . Originally there were large pointed arched tracery windows at the choir , they are now without tracery. The other windows are younger. The Gothic entrance in the south with a deeply profiled pointed arch is now walled up. On the gable roof sits a slate roof turret with a hood . There are galleries on three sides of the interior . The pulpit altar , built around 1700, stands on mighty wooden pillars . The crucifix is baroque . The rest of the church furnishings are unadorned. A small organ was purchased around 1700. It was almost completely renewed in 1848 by Johann Heinrich Schilling from Schleiz. Its 7 registers are distributed over a manual and a pedal . It was rebuilt in 1968 by Gerhard Kirchner . In 2000 it was restored by the organ builder Rösel & Hecker from Saalfeld. The preserved baroque prospect of the organ, built around 1700, is crowned by a folk painting with the Ascension of Christ .
