St. Martin is a Catholic parish church in Hillesheim , a town in the Vulkaneifel district in Rhineland-Palatinate , which was built in 1852/53. The church is centrally located on Graf-Mirbach-Platz and is protected as a cultural monument.

Since the church to St. Martin of Tours ordained is, one can assume that the parish will be over one thousand years. The Archangel Michael is the second patron saint of the church. St. Martin was created as a classical hall building in the years 1852/53. From 1971 to 1973 the church was completely renovated and repainted in 2001.

Furnishing

window

Most of the lead glass windows in the church were created in the Trier glass painting workshop in Binsfeld after 1945 . A war window was built in after the First World War to commemorate the fallen.

The church has a baroque organ from 1772 from the workshop of the well-known Stumm family from the Hunsrück .
