St. Nikolaus in Schliersee

The St. Nikolaus Chapel in Schliersee , a market in the Upper Bavarian district of Miesbach , was built in the second half of the 15th century. Today's cemetery chapel at Seestraße 1 is a protected monument .

The building consists of the preserved choir of a late Gothic church, the building material of which was used for the construction of St. Sixtus in the years 1712 to 1714. The chapel was redesigned in Baroque style in 1635 . The chapel has also served as a war memorial site since 1919/20.

The winged altar from the 16th century shows scenes from the life of St. Nicholas of Myra and the closed wings show the Passion of Jesus Christ.
