The Catholic chapel of St. Valentin in Katzenthal , a district of the Affing community in the Swabian district of Aichach-Friedberg ( Bavaria ), was opened in the 17th and 18th centuries. Century erected. The chapel , located by house number 2, is a protected architectural monument .

The simple rectangular building with retracted choir has retracted arched windows above and below. The age of the chapel is unknown; the choir is probably older than the nave . Saint Valentine is documented as patron as early as 1580 . On the west side a gallery with cast iron columns from the foundry Chr. Fischer in Augsburg was built in 1880 . The roof turret also dates from 1880.

The 19th century altar has a painting of Our Lady with Child by Liberat Hundred Pounds in 1854. Pastor Franz Sales Ott (1933-1971) had a white insert added because the section of Mary seemed too revealing to him. The figures of Saints Laurentius, Georg and Martin refer to the first names of the former court owners and were also procured by Ott.

Two votive pictures recall individual pilgrimages to the chapel.
