The Saint Vrain Creek (also spelled St. Vrain Creek ) is a left tributary of the South Platte River in the US state of Colorado .

The Saint Vrain Creek arises at the confluence of its two headwaters, North Fork Saint Vrain Creek and South Fork Saint Vrain Creek near Lyons in the northern central part of Colorado. He leaves the Rocky Mountains in an easterly direction. South of Longmont it takes Left Hand Creek and east of Longmont Boulder Creek - both from the right. It flows in the lower reaches in a northeasterly direction and finally flows north of Platteville into the South Platte River. The Saint Vrain Creek has a length of 51.8 km. The catchment area covers 2570 km².

In September 2013, the course of the Saint Vrain Creek and its tributaries were flooded due to heavy rainfall .
